My name is Adanna Adenekan, a mother of three. I am a trained Educational Psychologist with ten years of experience. I am a life builder who believes that each and every child has the potential to bring something special and unique to the world. To achieve this, I guide and assist learners by providing information, access to hands on activities, giving them tools to cultivate and construct knowledge for individual discovery. I am giving them tools to become successful in life, to believe in themselves and to love themselves. |

![]() Claske Lekala |
Goededag! I am juf Claske and I have had the privilege to be part of the NISL family for over 10 years now. After graduating from teachers college, I continued studying in Amsterdam. Although my focus was the Master of Educational Sciences, I also took the opportunity to do a minor in Development Studies and International Relations. Wanting to make a difference, I then decided to start a new adventure. I worked at a private school in Paramaribo, Suriname. While there, I made use of my free time in the evenings to attend classes on Remedial Teaching. For now our home is Lagos and I am delighted that our own children (2, 8 and 9 years old) also happily attend NISL. What a blessing it is to learn in such a diverse, international environment! I like how, as a Dutch teacher, I’m being challenged by my international colleagues on curriculum and other areas of school activities. I love how there is a real spirit of LEARNING FOR LIFE among the team members. I was encouraged by our former principal to pick up studies again and I really got into it. After completing my PGCE with the University of Sunderland I continued with the Master of International Education and graduated with distinction. I taught in the Dutch Stream for 10 years and am now fortunate to be the Year 1 teacher. I coordinate our NTC programme (Dutch Language and Culture) with much enthusiasm as it is at the core of our ‘Dutchness’. Other tasks on my plate are Safeguarding Lead, IEYC/IPC Co-ordinator and being part of the MT. I enjoy reading books, searching the internet for great (crafts) ideas, doing Zumba, playing the guitar, going for a walk on Banana Island, a good braai, traveling and of course having quality time with my own precious family and friends because friends you make here, in this special place, are friends for life too! |
![]() Dipa Donald-Horsfall |
My name is Mrs. Dipa and this is my ninth year at NISL. I have been School Principal since 2018 but for my first five years, I learnt about the vision and ethos of NISL from the best of the best. I feel honoured to carry it forward after having learnt from my predecessor; Mr. Oskar. I started teaching over twenty years ago in the UK after completing my BSc degree in Psychology from Buckingham University and then a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Brunel University. The intention was in fact to only teach for two years as a stepping stone into Educational Psychology but as the old cliché goes “I simply fell in love with the job”. I believe I am in tune with all dynamics of our establishment because I have worked as a Teaching Assistant, a Teacher, a SENCo, a Key Stage Leader, as a Deputy Head and now here as a Principal. Leadership by example and being a LEADER rather than a BOSS are paramount for me in terms of success in the educational field. I still like to keep a foot in the classroom; covering classes when teachers are off for family reasons or for professional development. I think being in class remains my favourite place! I am quirky rather than quiet and many call me an extrovert. I love the colour pink and feel that life is full of glamour and sparkles. Two of my children have graduated from NISL (thank God!) and the youngest is now thriving in Reception. Choosing to work here was a family decision not just one for my career. My husband or as I call him my Hubby is extremely supportive of my profession and says that I am the Mohammed Ali of Education; a compliment that makes me blush but one that I aspire to make a reality. |

I love dancing, reading, exercising, travelling, interacting with people and the colour ‘purple’. I cannot wait to meet you all in person! Until then, do stay healthy, safe, and happy! |

![]() Naomi Ifeozo |
I have worked with Netherlands International School for almost a decade. I started off as the school’s Office/Admissions Manager and then worked my way up the ladder to becoming the school’s Operations Manager. I have had the opportunity to work in different educational environments for almost two decades and this has greatly impacted my scope professionally and personally too. I completed my bachelor’s degree in English Language from University of Lagos in Nigeria, Diploma in Human Resources, French Education, and a few other management courses as well. To think that I took the decision of working in a school because I needed a job at that time that would afford me the time to study (back then it was a lot less complicated than now 😊). However, even though I loved and thoroughly enjoyed working with children I knew that I would be more fulfilled working with the administrative part of any school and so in 2011 when the opportunity presented itself to manage a children’s play centre, I hopped on it, and I have never looked back. I am a hands-on kind of person, and this is apparent in both my professional and personal life, so when I am not overseeing tasks or in the middle of strategizing process improvements or on the necks of people to complete their tasks, I spend time with my loved ones. I have been married for over a decade and together we have a beautiful daughter. Hi, my name is Naomi Ifeozo, and I am the Operations Manager for NISL. |

I really like to tailor my teaching approach to suit the needs of my learners, as I believe that every student has varying individual needs. I am a firm believer that children can and will perform at their best when you remind them of the sparkle you see in them. I enjoy trying new recipes and finding out about new things with my little one. |
