Mart Zinnemers
Vice Principal
Dear NISL Family,

The school year of 2024-2025 has just started. Many new faces and many new stories we can see and hear and see after the summer holiday. I would like to introduce myself as I am one of the new faces.
I am Mr. Mart and I have started this year in the roll of Vice-Principal and NTC coordinator. I was born in the Netherlands where I grew up in a village in Drenthe. For me this meant playing and discovering outside a lot. I believe this made me love the outdoors and nature a lot. I also found that learning through discovering and playing is a great way to learn. You can always find something around you that helps you learn or something to learn about. I have always wanted to become a teacher and I of course became one. In 2004 I graduated the primary school teacher academy, but I didn’t start teaching straight away as I wanted to see a bit more off the world and went to New Zealand for a year. The most important fact I learned about myself was that I would not be the Netherlands bound. I love living abroad and discovering new cultures. This experience I took with me when I started teaching in the Netherlands in 2005. I worked in several schools in the Netherlands. From primary to secondary schools, regular to special needs schools. Living abroad never left my mind and in 2017 I got the opportunity to live in Zambia and lived there for four years. There I have also worked at the Dutch school. A lot of adventures and a couple of countries later I am very happy to be in Lagos now. To me learning is a journey and I hope I can be a travel guide for a lot of young people that will be our future. I do believe that being part of the NISL community helps me as well on my own journey of life long learning.

Naomi Ifeozo
Operations Manager

I have worked with Netherlands International School for almost a decade. I started off as the school’s Office/Admissions Manager and then worked my way up the ladder to becoming the school’s Operations Manager. I have had the opportunity to work in different educational environments for almost two decades and this has greatly impacted my scope professionally and personally too. I completed my bachelor’s degree in English Language from University of Lagos in Nigeria, Diploma in Human Resources, French Education, and a few other management courses as well. To think that I took the decision of working in a school because I needed a job at that time that would afford me the time to study (back then it was a lot less complicated than now 😊). However, even though I loved and thoroughly enjoyed working with children I knew that I would be more fulfilled working with the administrative part of any school and so in 2011 when the opportunity presented itself to manage a children’s play centre, I hopped on it, and I have never looked back. I am a hands-on kind of person, and this is apparent in both my professional and personal life, so when I am not overseeing tasks or in the middle of strategizing process improvements or on the necks of people to complete their tasks, I spend time with my loved ones. I have been married for over a decade and together we have a beautiful daughter. Hi, my name is Naomi Ifeozo, and I am the Operations Manager for NISL.
